Although Thassos does not have its own airport, there are two International airports nearby on the mainland.

Directions from Kavala Airport to Keramoti Ferry Port

Kavala’s International Airport “Megalos Alexandros” (KVA) is the nearest (and smallest) airport, allowing for for a short and quick route to Thassos island. Although there are few direct flights operating there, it is only 15 minute drive from the ferry port in Keramoti.

Directions from Thessaloniki Airport to Kavala and Keramoti Ferry Ports

Thessaloniki International Airport “Macedonia” (SKG) is further (and larger) airport, and is 2 hour drive to the ferry port in Kavala and 2 hours 30 minutes to  the ferry port in Keramoti

Thessaloniki airport is connected to the ferry ports by an excellent road and a highway network, making the journey to Kavala or Keramoti easy.

Choosing your arrival airport will mostly depend on where you are coming from and the flights that are available from your hometown or other place of departure.

Before making your journey check with your travel agent or call us and we will advise on the best router wherever you are coming from.

By car

Thassos island is easily accessible. Regularly scheduled ferries available every 30 minutes from Keramoti, to the port of Limenas in Thassos, travel time is 30 minutes.

There is also a Ferry from Kavala to Prinos five times a day. Travel time is approximately to 1 hour and 40 minutes. 

Keramoti – Limenas (Thassos Town) is the fastest, and most frequent route used.

Excellent holiday facilities

Excellent holiday facilities, good for families with kids. We had a little problem with the placement of the room we've initialy received but the staff was responsive and relocated us. Excellent tavern food, staff, landscape and accomodations!

A delightful place made with a lot of taste and style. One of the pearls of Thassos. The cuisine is excellent, everything is very tasty and does not lack variety. The service is perfect and the cleanness is on top level.

The right place for fatigued people who need a rest

A very relaxing stay, kind personnel at all levels that made our vacation pleasant and we left with the desire to revisit as soon as possible. This was our second, and, hopefully, not last visit of the resort. Thank you, all!

Mamma Mia Classy Cocktails

Although the food is international, we also tried native Greek meals, and we were amazed, especially the sweet treats, which are exquisite. We like most of the drinks, cocktails, but there are also some good non-alcohol drinks.

Beautiful and luxury!

We think everything was fantastic! The food was splendid: we are vegetarians and the buffet with all the vegetables, bread and cheese, was perfect for us.

It’s a gorgeous resort that deserves the 5-star rating. The rooms are spacious, equipped with king size beds and air conditioning, most of them have sea view, quality furniture, and daily cleaning.

It’s the best place I’ve visited in a while! The hotel is beautiful, and the view is gorgeous. Everything is organised excellently, especially the restaurant where the manager (Yiannis) is the best manager that I’ve ever seen.

Very good resort

Very good hotel surrounded by breathtaking nature. The room was nice, clean with an amazing view. The swimming pool is great. The staff were friendly, helpful and very kindly. The breakfast was really good, and the service was excellent.

The hotel rooms are very functional and well designed. Тhe best hotel mattresses we've ever slept on. All hotel areas are clean, and the garden is well maintained. The food was very delicious.

Great Experience

When I arrived at first to Thassos Grand Resort I was sceptic at first, but first 2 hours changed my perception on hotel. Food was great, beds were comfortable, rooms pretty and entertainment was top-notch. I highly recommend it!
